RBT Role Overview

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes and school settings under the supervision of a BCBA. This role is ideal for candidates who are reliable, compassionate, and excited to support children with autism in building meaningful skills.

Travel

Travel between client homes and/or schools within your assigned service area is required. Mileage is reimbursed.

Employment Type

W‑2, part‑time with opportunity to increase hours as caseload grows.

Clients

Children and adolescents with autism, approximately ages 2–16, receiving individualized ABA treatment plans.

Service Settings

In‑home and school‑based ABA services for children with autism ages 2–16.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with your supervising BCBA to deliver high‑quality ABA therapy and accurate data collection that drives meaningful progress for each child.

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes and schools according to individualized treatment plans.

  • Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social skills, daily living skills, and play.

  • Follow behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to reduce challenging behaviors in a safe and ethical manner.

  • Collect accurate, real‑time data on client behavior and skill development using company‑approved tools.

  • Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, school staff, and supervisors about session progress.

  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings with your BCBA and clinical team.

  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold all ethical and professional standards required of RBTs.

  • Ensure client safety at all times and follow agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain it (company may assist eligible candidates).

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or related degree preferred.

  • Experience working with children, ideally with autism or developmental disabilities.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance for travel between client locations.

  • Comfort working in client homes and school environments with parent and teacher collaboration.

  • Ability to lift, move, or support clients as needed during sessions (e.g., floor play).

  • Clear background check and any state‑specific requirements for working with children.

  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and consistency with scheduling.

  • Availability for part‑time hours Monday–Friday and occasional weekends as scheduled.

Schedule

Typical Hours:
Monday–Friday, based on client needs (after‑school and early evening hours are common).

Some weekend hours may be available or required depending on family schedules.

We work with you to build a caseload that fits your availability while providing consistency for clients.
